Employee Spotlight: Tanya Haller, Senior Manager of Culture & Talent

We’re spotlighting the most important part of our work here at 1nHealth—our team. These are the folks who bring the energy, the ideas, and the spark to everything we do.

First up: someone who can juggle benefits questions, onboarding processes, and team morale—all before lunch. Let’s give it up for Tanya Haller, 1Health’s Senior Manager of Culture & Talent.

Discover the most fulfilling aspect of Tanya’s job, what might surprise you about her day-to-day, and much more.

What's your current role at 1nHealth?

I’m the Senior Manager of Culture & Talent.

If someone shadowed you for a day, what would surprise them most about your job?

If someone shadowed me for a day, they’d probably be surprised by how much of my job is about anticipation and influence rather than just execution. A lot of what I do isn’t just about responding to people-related needs—it’s about actively shaping the culture and making sure we’re protecting what makes 1nHealth great.

Most expect HR to be all about policies and paperwork, but in reality, I spend a ton of time gathering feedback, reading between the lines, and making sure leadership understands what’s happening beneath the surface.

What’s a moment in your role that gives you a “this is why I do this” feeling?

When a new hire instantly clicks, it’s a confirmation that all the effort I put into preserving the culture and refining the hiring process has paid off.

It’s that moment when someone joins the company, and within days (or even hours), you can tell they belong here. They get it. They operate with the same values, they bring the right energy, and they start adding value almost immediately—not even necessarily in their work but in how they interact with others. Nothing feels better!

How do you relax and re-energize outside of work?

The picture above was taken in Mosquito Lagoon (premier fishing destination that just so happens to be my backyard) in the flats. The size is pretty rare to catch in just inches of water!

I love hiking and catching snakes (really any reptile) is a blast for me. By far, my favorite fishing destination is The Everglades. There are a lot of crazy-looking invasive species that are fun to catch, and some of the best herping too.

What’s the most satisfying problem you’ve gotten to solve lately?

The most satisfying problem I’ve gotten to solve lately has been navigating our PEO transition. It’s been a complex process, and there were a lot of moving parts to consider. Our old PEO was outdated and would get harder to maintain as we continued to see growth within the company. We faced challenges around ensuring a smooth transfer of employee data, managing team expectations, and minimizing disruption for our team. Now that it’s all come together, knowing that we’re positioning the company for better efficiency and support in the long run has been incredibly fulfilling.

What’s something you’ve learned at 1nHealth that you think everyone should know—whether they work here or not?

One of the biggest things I’ve learned at 1nHealth is how powerful authenticity really is in building trust. It’s not just a core value we talk about—it actually shapes how we work together, and how we work with clients. When people feel like they can show up as their real selves, it creates a two-way street where honesty and transparency live.

Can you actually recruit patients for clinical trials on social media? (Yes, here’s how…)

All in all, social media can be a boon to your patient recruitment efforts, but only if you understand some foundational concepts and put a few best practices in place.
