Case Study 1

Research

Our client was hesitant to work with a centralized recruiting company as past experiences with other vendors resulted in high spend and low quality referrals. They had an aggressive timeline for study enrollment and knew they’d need help to actualize this goal, so they turned to 1nHealth to maximize the recruiting effort.

Trial Design

Our client had a tight 6-month enrollment timeline and needed a well-executed recruiting plan to accelerate the enrollment process. They gave 1nHealth the opportunity to develop creative digital ads and utilize precision targeting on social media to drive highly qualified referrals to over 40 sites across the USA and Canada for screening.

Trial Management

1nHealth helped refine and optimize site-level follow-up procedures to greatly accelerate the recruiting effort. The fully optimized funnel allowed us to aggressively and efficiently scale the ad volume to achieve a much higher than anticipated number of quality referrals who randomized into the study.

Conclusion

1nHealth’s approach of razor-sharp focus on data and process optimization combined with tight collaboration with the sponsor and sites, led to a high volume of highly-qualified referrals and study enrollments.  1nHealth’s referrals had a 70% screen-to-enroll rate, compared with 46% for referrals from other sources (see graph).

These positive outcomes resulted in scaling towards full enrollment for this study in record time AND additional partnership opportunities with the client.

Case Study 2

Research

Our client was 8 weeks into recruitment for a wearable device validation study, and behind pace. They’d been using a combination of sites and digital ads with little to show for their efforts after the first wave of database responses.

Trial Design

The client was skeptical and gave 1nHealth a 1-week trial. After 2 days we were extended to 1-month, and by the end of the first week our campaigns were active across all study site locations.

Trial Management

The client deployed 1nHealth to save this effort. We used our in-house algorithm, AgileMatch, to give us the best possible chance at finding our target: Patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation [and here’s the catch] who were having an active episode at the time of on-site screening. Yikes.

Conclusion

After 2 months of the client’s previous digital efforts underperforming, 1nHealth was able to step in and deliver new patients to the sites at 3x the expected rate – closing the gap between actual and expected enrollments.
