Performance Monitoring
Patient recruitment doesn’t end at referral, it ends at enrollment
The most common patient recruitment challenges can be boiled down to three main problem areas.
First, if messaging is irrelevant, visuals are boring, and copy isn’t compelling—recruitment lacks engagement and you’ll see a low volume of interest.
Second, if the patient journey seems complicated, broken, or untrustworthy—people will lose interest after viewing the study landing page and you’ll see a low conversion rate.
Lastly, if referred patients aren’t treated as a priority by sites (or you’re using outdated or insufficient processes) you’ll see a high number of “could not contact” statuses and patient recruitment becomes inefficient, slow, and expensive.
Why 1nHealth continues working until enrollment
Most digital recruitment providers focus most of their energy on the first two problems.
But ignoring down-funnel outcomes has huge ramifications on the efficacy of your clinical trial (that is, if you even hit your intended enrollment targets).
Here’s why 1nHealth emphasizes performance monitoring through the entire recruitment process until enrollment targets are met:
Interest
We understand that patients lead busy lives. We have to communicate with them on their terms. That’s why we emphasize quick responses, personal touchpoints, and an omni-channel communication strategy.
Eligibility
Depending on your enrollment timeline, patient eligibility can change. We confirm inclusion/exclusion criteria at every step of the recruitment funnel so that sites are only receiving the highest-quality referrals.
Viability
Sometimes the inclusion/exclusion criteria isn’t enough to measure patient viability for your clinical study. We emphasize proactive outreach, real-time updates, and centralized data so everyone (including patients!) is on the same page.
Study Fit
Even if an individual passes all inclusion/exclusion criteria and appears to be a viable patient for your clinical study, you might have mandates related to location, ethnicity, race, or gender. Our targeting strategy takes that all into account.

Case Study: Geo-Representative Results
1nHealth recently completed two digital patient recruitment campaigns with nationwide access. The first was on behalf of a Sponsor enrolling for an Adult ADHD study, and the second was an efficacy study sponsored by a consumer health company.
Each Study had an n > 180 and needed a geo-representative patient population that was proportional to five general regions of the country.
The combined recruitment campaigns reached geo-representative targets on time, satisfying enrollment mandates and criteria.
