Our difference

Successful recruitment requires expertise and specialization at every stage of enrollment

Gastrointestinal diseases encompass a broad spectrum of disorders, ranging from irritable bowel syndrome to colon cancer.

Gastrointestinal clinical trials are competitive and include large volumes of patient populations. For some indications, the need to identify and enroll patients in flare can create a bottleneck in recruitment.

For clinical trial sponsors who refuse to settle for enrollment delays and inefficiencies, 1nHealth resets the standard.

We don’t just promise, we deliver—so that you can focus on groundbreaking gastrointestinal research and treatments.

Partnering with 1nHealth means embracing a future where patient recruitment is no longer a hurdle but a catalyst for success

Our expertise

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a chronic functional gastrointestinal disorder affecting 5–10% of the global population, with higher prevalence in women and individuals under 50.

Characterized by abdominal pain, bloating, and altered bowel habits (constipation, diarrhea, or both), IBS significantly impairs quality of life. Its multifactorial etiology includes gut-brain axis dysregulation, visceral hypersensitivity, microbiome imbalances, and psychological stress.

Despite its prevalence, diagnosis is often delayed due to symptom overlap with other GI conditions.

Crohn's Disease

Crohn’s disease is a type of chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), affecting approximately 1.6 million people globally, with increasing incidence in industrialized nations.

It can involve any part of the gastrointestinal tract, most commonly the terminal ileum and colon. Characterized by relapsing inflammation, symptoms include abdominal pain, diarrhea (often bloody), fatigue, and weight loss. Complications such as strictures, fistulas, and malabsorption are common.

The disease’s pathogenesis involves genetic predisposition, immune dysregulation, and environmental factors, including microbiome imbalances.

Colon Cancer

Colorectal cancer (CRC), the third most common cancer globally, accounts for over 1.9 million new cases and 935,000 deaths annually.

Primarily affecting individuals over 50, its incidence is rising among younger adults. Risk factors include a family history of CRC, inflammatory bowel disease, obesity, smoking, and diets high in red or processed meats.

Symptoms such as rectal bleeding, altered bowel habits, and unexplained weight loss often emerge in advanced stages, highlighting the importance of screening.
