What do I need to know?

If you pre-qualify through the above form, we’ll contact you to schedule your first in-person screening visit. You can review and sign the Informed Consent Form and enroll in the study (you may stop at any time.)
For two weeks, you’ll fill out a daily eDiary on an app about your vaping.
After two weeks, you’ll return to the site and if you still qualify, you’ll be assigned (by chance) to either the treatment group or the placebo group. You’ll receive your mouthspray trial treatment (at no cost) and begin using it the next day to help you quit e-cigarettes.
You’ll use your mouthspray trial treatment for up to 26 weeks, tapering off use over time, with the support and advice of the study staff.
In total, you’ll have 12 appointments, 9 in-person clinic visits, and 3 remote visits (which are completed virtually).

What is the goal of this study?

The main goal of this study is to see how Nicotine Freshmint Mouthspray compares to a placebo freshmint mouthspray at helping people abstain from e-cigarettes.

Does the study product work? Is it safe?

The Nicotine Freshmint Mouthspray has already been studied and tested. This study is helping us collect even more data.

We’ve learned that the Nicotine Freshmint Mouthspray helps nicotine be absorbed faster than nicotine gum, which helps it quickly relieve the urge to smoke. It’s been proven to be a safe and effective tool to help quit smoking. ¹
